Park-And-Ride Incident Probed

OCEAN CITY – Area police this week are looking for a suspect in a reported strong-arm robbery of a juvenile at the Park-and-Ride in West Ocean City.

Around 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Maryland State Police troopers responded to a reported robbery that had just occurred. The victim, a juvenile from Berlin, had been dropped off at the facility when he was approached by the suspect, described as a white male, 40-50 years old with medium length dirty blond hair, a full beard, wearing a denim jacket, a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

According to the victim’s account, the suspect approached the juvenile and said, “Give me your money.” The juvenile refused at first and the suspect then allegedly grabbed the victim by the throat and pushed him against a wall.

The suspect was last seen running eastbound from the Ocean City Park-and-Ride toward the Ocean City Fishing Center.
