4th graders learn about Maryland natural resources

Fourth graders at BIS have been learning about Maryland’s natural resources and their importance to the state’s economy. Students were to use an artistic technique to show a natural resource found in one of Maryland’s three geographic regions and write a descriptive paragraph identifying how it is used and the types of jobs this resource creates for many people. Above are Olivia Bescak with a 3D apple orchard, Christina Romano with a milk jug dairy cow, Allison Cordial with a beachy cake, and Garrett Tinus with a piñata style Rockfish.
