OC Police Seek Leads On Wanted Man

OCEAN CITY – Ocean City police remain on the lookout this week for a man wanted in both Maryland and Pennsylvania who was positively identified in the resort weeks ago and may have been seen again last weekend.

OCPD officers this week continue to search for a man identified as Dallas Jabbar Roman, 29, who is considered a fugitive in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. Roman is described as 6’3” tall and about 165 pounds. He has a tattoo of an ant on his neck as well as other tattoos on both his right and left arms and upper left arm. When last seen, Roman was wearing his hair in long cornrows, but police believe he may have changed his appearance since.

Roman is wanted as a fugitive from Pennsylvania for failing to appear for a trial in which he has been charged with a violent crime. He is also wanted in Maryland for failure to appear for trial for not paying restitution in a paternity case. A background check in Maryland records indicate Roman was arrested in Frederick County in 204 for trespassing and handgun violations, but those charges were eventually dropped. He did plead guilty to manufacturing/distributing CDS in Washington County in 1998 and was sentenced to 30 months, or two-and-a-half years in jail.

According to police reports, Roman was last seen in Ocean City during the weekend of May 13 and possibly last weekend as well. Roman should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, according to police reports, and anyone who might encounter him is urged not to approach him. Instead, anyone who thinks they might have seen Roman in the resort area is encouraged to call the OCPD at 410-723-6600. Callers do not have to leave their name.
