Company Appoints New Leader

OCEAN CITY – Re/Max Premier Properties President and owner Bill Cook announced this week the new leadership team for the company.

Dr. Carl E. Ortman will take over as vice-president, general manager and broker for Maryland and Virginia. Ortman brings 33 years of educational leadership to the company with 10 of those years as headmaster of independent schools and six years in real estate. Ortman will oversee a team consisting of Betsy Clark, chief financial officer; Mike Noyes, information technology; Doug Galloway, agent coordinator and consultant; Max Trapp, agent coordinator and broker of record for Delaware; Bob Heim, agent coordinator; and staff members Billie Tragle, Marie Cerrato, Kristin Turner, Andrea Agosta, Sharon Wittman and Gina Castagna.

Galloway, previous vice president and general manager, will return to being a real estate associate as well, rejoining his wife, Sandy, as The Pros to Know.

As agent coordinators, Galloway will focus on the Ocean City office, while Trapp will work with the Ocean Pines office and Heim with the new north Salisbury office.

“We have so many exciting plans in the works and his new position requires so much of my time that I have informed the team that I will not be doing any real estate transactions of my own,” Ortman said.
