Robert
W. Jackson, Jr.

SALISBURY
– Robert Winfield Jackson, Jr., 94, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 at Peninsula
Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in
New Rochelle, N.Y., he was the son of the late Robert W. Jackson, Sr. and
Margaret Cross Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha V.
Jackson, in 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Jackson Todd of Berlin,
and son, Glenn W. Jackson and his wife Sherry of Willards. He leaves six
grandchildren, Brandon Jackson, Melanie Corbin, Blair Jackson, Jacob Todd,
Robert Todd and Jackson Todd, and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a
nephew, William A. Jackson, Jr. of Winchester, Va.

Jackson
had worked for many years with Roland Beachamp Feed Company, Cliff Cannon Car
Sales, Adkins Company (for 19 years), and Bay Crib Rental and Rollaway
Business. He was a World War II Army veteran, member, Elder and Trustee at
Buckingham Presbyterian Church and lifetime member of Boggs-Disharoon American
Legion Post #123 in Berlin.

Services
were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Buckingham
Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, C/o Rosalee James, 103 Burley St. Berlin,
Md. 21811.

Vaughn
H. Lynch

OCEAN
CITY – Vaughn H. Lynch, Sr., 85, of Ocean City, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at
home. He was born in Roxana, Del. and was the son of the late Hollie and Pearl
Lynch. 

A
retired realtor, he was the founder of Shoreline Properties, Inc. in Ocean
City. He was a longtime member of the Selbyville Elks Lodge and a former member
of the National Association of Realtors. He was also a member of Zion United
Methodist Church near Bishopville and the Ocean City American Legion.

He is
survived by his wife, Mattie H. Lynch of Ocean City; a son, Vaughn H. Lynch Jr.
and his wife Kati of Ocean City; and a granddaughter, Antea Vrana. He is also
survived by three brothers, Louis, Joseph and Dallas Lynch; a sister, Leona
Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Services
were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Zion United Methodist

Jason
E. Knaub

OCEAN
CITY – Jason E. Knaub, age 36, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at
his home in Ocean City.

Born in
York, Pa., he was the son of Susan Knaub, and Eugene Knaub and his wife Nancy.
He was employed as a cook with Brass Balls Saloon in Ocean City.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Desi L. Knaub; two sisters,
Kimberly Jackson and her husband Robert and Lori Keagy and her husband Martin;
and a brother, Michael Knaub.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at 11:30 a.m.
at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Friends may call one hour prior to the
service. Rev. Phillip Timmons will officiate. Interment will be private.

Gary
Wayne Copeland

SALISBURY
– Gary Wayne Copeland went to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at
Coastal Hospice By The Lake in Salisbury.

He is
survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Colleen Copeland of Ocean City; his
brother-in-law, Brent Ashley of Ocean City; and his beloved niece, Erin Ashley
of Miami, Fla.

Copeland
was born in Greenville, S.C. but moved to Baltimore when he was a young child.
He graduated from The Baltimore Polytechnical High School in 1966. He served as
a Merchant Marine and also served with the Army Special Forces in Vietnam.
After his discharge, he lived in southern Maryland and then moved to Ocean City
12 years ago to be closer to family. He worked for many years in management in
the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Copeland
was a devout Christian and a member of the Lighthouse Church of God in Berlin.
After coming to Christ, he devoted his life to many areas of ministry in
southern Maryland and in the Ocean City area. These included serving as Decadal
Treasurer, ordained elder, lay pastor, head usher and an adult and youth Bible
teacher. He also served with the Gideons International as a speaker and
participated in local outreach programs.

Services
will be held Saturday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church Of God,
11741 Sinepuxent Rd. Berlin, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
donations be made to the Lighthouse Church of God Building fund, Aglow
International or to the Gideons International.

Leonard
C. Richelderfer

BERLIN
– Leonard C. “Lenny” Richelderfer, 70, of Mountville, Pa. passed away on
Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mt. Joy.

He was
the son of the late Ceylon A. and Dorothy (Scheile) Richelderfer. He was the
wife of Jean (Burke) Richelderfer of 45 years.

He
retired as a supervisor from National Bearings Company after 44 years.

He
enjoyed hunting in his early years and fishing in his later years. He loved
Ocean City where he had a second home. One of his proudest fishing moments was
catching a white marlin off the coast of Ocean City in 2006. He was an avid
Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was always the life of the party and was well known
to sing the “Skeeter” song to anyone who would listen.

Surviving
in addition to his wife are two sons, Leonard C. Jr., husband of Mary, of
Lancaster, and Russell Lepard, husband of Alex, of Ohio; three daughters,
Kimberly Rose, wife of Nick, of Lancaster, Susan Leed, of Lancaster, Lori
Richelderfer, of Columbia; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother,
Russell, husband of Ruth, of Willow Street; and a sister Ruth Adams, of
Leesport. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ceylon A. “Smiler”
Richelderfer Jr.

Funeral
services will be held on Friday, Aug. 13, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home
414 E. King St. Lancaster, Pa. 17602 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr Thomas Smith
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lenny’s
memory to Resurrection Catholic School 521 E. Orange St. Lancaster, Pa. 17602
or to Hospice of Lancaster County PO Box 4125 Lancaster, Pa. 17604.

Harry
Charles Coffman

BERLIN – Harry Charles

Coffman, Jr. ("Aug"), 80, died on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010 at his home in Ocean Pines.

Born in Washington, D.C.,
he was the son of the late Harry C. Coffman, Sr. and Agnes Downey Coffman. He
is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Rita Achstetter Coffman.
Coffman was a graduate of Gonzaga College High School and The Catholic
University of America. He had worked as a civil engineer with the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean
War.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his five children, son Charles and
Colleen Coffman of Rockville, daughter Catherine Coffman and Theresa Moody of
Ocean Pines, son John and Sheila Coffman of Annapolis, daughter Theresa and
Robert Edwards of Arlington, Va., and son Thomas and Linda Coffman of Lincroft,
NJ; 10 grandchildren, Charles, Joseph, Christine, Elizabeth, Catherine, James,
Caroline, Thomas, Nicholas and Michael; and a sister, Margaret Fanning of Ocean
Pines. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Agnes Graninger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at noon at St. John Neumann

Catholic Church in Ocean Pines. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m.-noon prior to
the service at the church. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in
Silver Spring, Md. on Monday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. Arrangements are being handled
by the Burbage Funeral Home.
