Juveniles Busted In OC Crime Spree

OCEAN CITY — Several local juveniles have been charged this week with burglary, theft and vandalism after a crime spree throughout north Ocean City.

The Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) has responded to numerous complaints of vandalism, burglary and theft in the north end of the resort this month. OCPD Forensic Services personnel established the various acts of graffiti and vandalism were consistent and likely committed by the same person or persons.

During the investigation of two dozen vehicles, officers were able to determine numerous local juveniles were likely responsible for the damage estimated at over $10,000. Nine Ocean City area male juveniles with ages ranging from nine-years-old to 13-years-old have been charged with various offenses, from second- and fourth-degree burglary to malicious destruction of property and theft. Additional arrests are expected. Anyone with information is urged to contact Pfc. Vicki Martin at 410-723-6656 or 410-723-6600. Those responding do not have to leave their names.
