OC Boys Basketball Action Continues

OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department’s winter boys’ basketball league continued this week with a full slate of games at Northside Park. The following is a look at some of the action:

(bullet) Rox Weddings 42- Belair Road Supply 29: Jakeem Jordan scored 18 points and Owen Nally added 13 in the win for Rox. Thomas Dibuo led all scorers with 21 of his team’s 29 points in the loss.

(bullet) OC-Berlin Optimists 28- OC Rec Boosters 24: Michael Barnes scored 16 points and Jamir Blake added 10. Hayden Cosman scored 10 points and Ian Williams added six for the Boosters in defeat.

(bullet) Atlantic Physical Therapy 28- Atlantic General Hospital 6: Tucker Anthony scored eight points and Koby Higgins added six for Atlantic Physical Therapy. Jude Vandornick led AGH with three points.

(bullet) Buxy’s Salty Dog 16- McDonalds 9: Evan Kinsey led Buxy’s with 10 points, while Hagen Andersen added four and Will Barrett got on the board with two. Cole Whitenack led McDonalds with four, followed by Michael Romano with three and Adam Sites with two.

(bullet) Fisher’s Popcorn 25- Sea Colony 24: In the tightest game of the week, Devin Waters led Fisher’s with nine points, while Jaiquez Jones and Alex Gaddis each scored six. Chase Hall and Jack Martin each scored six points for Sea Colony in the losing effort.

(bullet) Bayside Skillet 14- American Legion 5: Willem Lambertson led all scorers with eight points for the Bayside Skillet. Reece Stone and Andrew Weir each scored two points for the Legion.

(bullet) OC Elks Lodge 22- Fager’s Island 17: The Elks got balanced scoring with six points each by Mitchell McGee, Dawson Delaney and Owen Toms. Liam Hammon scored six for Fager’s, while Thomas Fager and Eric Gwin each got on the board with a basket.

(bullet) Fresco’s 25- Trimper’s 18: Brett Berquist scored a game-high 17 points to lead Fresco’s over Trimper’s. Tyree Henry also scored eight points for Fresco’s. George Martin and Tate Shockley lead Trimper’s with nine points each.

(bullet) Park Place Jewelers 26- OC Rec Boosters 21: Colton Edmunds led all scorers with 16 points for Park Place, while Sean Corcoran added four and Sam Edmunds, Wyatt Davis and Marshall Gabell all got in the books with two points. Stephen Alther led the Boosters with 11 points, while Billy Wheatley added eight and Shea Griffin scored two.

(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 11- Flamingo Hotel 9: Ben Brandt scored seven and Matt Engle added four to account for all of the Boosters’ points. On the other side, Chris Sichina’s nine points and Lucas Weber’s three points were it for the Flamingo.

(bullet) Endless Summer 34- Applebee’s 15: Drew Haueisen  led Endless Summer with 13 points, followed closely by Chase Porter with 11. Gavin McVicker added eight and Sam Maher got on the board with two points. Ian Shaner led Applebee’s with eight points, while Blake Marshall scored four and Ryan Stone and Dante Clubb also got on the board.

(bullet) Fisher’s Popcorn 31- OC-Berlin Optimists 25: Devin Waters led Fisher’s with 12 points, while Jack Rosenberg scored seven and Alex Gaddis added six. Michael Barnes led the Optimists, while Jhymir Blake scored six. Hunter Williams got in the scorebook with two points.
