BERLIN- The local Beach Lacrosse program will be well represented at the annual Lax Splash Tournament throughout the Baltimore area this weekend with boys and girls teams in nearly every age bracket.
Lax Splash, played at several different venues in the lacrosse tradition-rich Baltimore area features hundreds of teams and thousands of players from all over the mid-Atlantic region in what has become the traditional kick-off to the summer youth lacrosse tournament season each year. The tournament will be held this weekend from Friday to Sunday at different venues all over northern Baltimore County and in Harford County.
Last year, the Beach Lacrosse 11-12 girls swept six games to win the championship in their division, while the Beach Lacrosse 13-14 girls put together a nice run to reach the finals in their division before falling in the title game. The other Beach Lacrosse teams participating last year also performed well, proving again that youth lacrosse on the Lower Shore is keeping pace with the traditional powers on the western shore.
