Marvin Harold Levinson

FENWICK ISLAND, Del. — Marvin Harold Levinson, 90, of Fenwick Island, Del., passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 3, 2013.

Marvin was born on Sept. 21, 1922 to Yetta and Jack Levinson in Bronx, New York.

Marvin served in the Army in WWII as a sergeant. After the war, he married his bride, Marilyn L. Guerrierri, in 1952 at the DuPont Hotel in Wilmington, Del. They were married for 61 incredible years.  

Marvin moved to the Eastern Shore and opened a bakery business with his father and brother in Georgetown, Del. He then went onto a long career with his father-in-law, Mike Guerrieri, and brother-in-law, Alan Guerrieri.

Upon retirement, he purchased the Village of Fenwick in Fenwick Island, Del., which he managed and the family continues to operate.

He was also involved in various philanthropic ventures, including volunteering for several local hospitals and various organizations.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn G. Levinson; beloved daughters; grandchildren; brother-in-law; sister-in-law; nieces; nephews; and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister-in-law.

Marvin was the finest example of a husband, father, and grandfather. He was an exemplary gentleman in every aspect and will be truly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

A private service was held on June 6, 2013.
