Worcester Preparatory Lower School's theme of "Values and Virtues" was highlighted throughout the school year as children in Preschool through Grade 5 learned about and discussed the importance of good values. Two Worcester Prep students, sophomore Niki Kunciw, Ocean Pines, and eighth grader Billy Tyler, Berlin, were honored at the national level for their writing in the DAR's Jamestown 400th Anniversary competition. Niki's poem won First Place in the nation after capturing local, state, and regional honors. Billy's essay received local, state, and regional honors and was awarded Honorable Mention nationally. It was a mannerly time at the Marlin Club in West Ocean City when Worcester Prep's Grade 2 students, their teachers and their parents met for dinner and a special presentation on civility.
