OCEAN CITY -The 14th Ocean City Library closed its doors this week, and although an official date has not been set for the opening of the new 100th Street location, the transition to the new library has begun as the books left the 14th Street location this week. SNOW HILL - The Worcester County Commissioners elected a new president today, unanimously voting Commissioner Virgil Shockley into position. Shockley takes the presidency over from Commissioner Jim Purnell, who spent two years and two months in the post, taking over in late 2005 from Commissioner Sonny Bloxom. OCEAN CITY - The Route 50 Bridge may have reopened two weeks ago, but work is far from over and traffic delays will continue over the next two months as the State Highway Administration (SHA) gears up to close the west bound lanes of the bridge Tuesday.
