OC Eyes New Website


OCEAN CITY - The Town of Ocean City's new website, www.OceanCityMD.gov, will be going live on Monday, Aug. 31.

The new site will house all town departments. Anyone going online to old domain names, such as www.town.ocean-city.md.us, will be forwarded to the new site once it is launched.

The newly designed web site will provide one location for citizens to more easily find information on anything involving the Town of Ocean City. New features will include a search tool, a main page featuring upcoming events and news for town departments, notification on all pages of any emergency alerts and a news release section with a RSS feed and option to subscribe, along with other features.

Company Reports Strong Year


BERLIN - Hileman Real Estate has announced that the local Multiple Listing Service has ranked Hileman as No. 1 in year-to-date volume sold in Ocean Pines.

In other company news, Hileman reported Bethany Drew as top listing agent and Sonia Zaffiris as top sales agent. 

University Earns Ranking


SALISBURY - Salisbury University (SU) is again ranked among the top schools in 2010 national college guidebooks.

U.S. News & World Report named SU one of the Top Public Universities-Master's category (North). Ranked at No. 7, SU maintains its status as the highest-placing public Master's-level university in Maryland.

'We are extremely proud that Salisbury University remains the top public master's university in Maryland and one of the best in the north,' said Dr. Diane Allen, SU provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. 'This would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, whose efforts allow us to attract outstanding students.'

OCEAN CITY - ResortQuest Real Estate announced July's top producers for all locations at a recent sales meeting.

Tammy Hadder and Anna Meiklejohn of the Marketplace at Sea Colony office received top honors in listing volume for the month of July.

Top listing volume awards for individual agents by office are Hadder and Meiklejohn for the Marketplace at Sea Colony office and Robert Kauffman for the Bethany Beach office.

Bob Maxwell of Marketplace at Sea Colony office received top honors for sales volume for the month of July.

 Top sales volume awards for individual agents by office are Maxwell for the Marketplace office; Tammy Mushrush for the Bethany Beach office; Marc Grimes for the Bear Trap Dunes office, Gail Phelan for the Edgewater office: and Bill Hand for the Ocean City office.

Team Anne/Jen (consisting of Anne Powell and Jen Hughes) of the Bayside office received top honors for listing volume and sales volume for a team for the month of July. 

Top listing volume team award by office are Team Anne/Jen for the Bayside office and Team Winwaik (consisting of Colleen Windrow and Missy Nalewaik) for the Marketplace at Sea Colony office.

Top sales volume team award by office are: Team Anne/Jen for the Bayside office and Team Conover (consisting of Mike Conover and Brendan Garfield Crotty) for the Bethany Beach office.
