Snow Hill Elementary School recently hosted a 'Desserts for Dad' event, which promotes the importance of a father's involvement in the education of their children. Fathers, grandfathers and uncles were invited to come and spend time with their child sharing a wonderful ice cream treat and then accompanying the students to their classrooms. Kindergarteners in Liz Engh's class at Ocean City Elementary used apples to learn about senses, seasons, sorting and social studies. After observing, sorting, illustrating, tasting, and describing apples, students became workers on an assembly line to create apple crisps.
