Community Foundation of Eastern Shore Awards $2,000 Grant

The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore has awarded a $2,000 Help Your Neighbor Grant to the Gateway Christian Ministries in Ocean City to help struggling families and seniors who need assistance paying for utilities, food or prescriptions. Above, Robin Derrickson of Gateway Christian Ministries accepts the grant check from Spicer Bell, CFES President. In the past year, the Community Foundation has provided over $37,000 in emergency assistance to small nonprofits on the Lower Eastern Shore to assist individuals in paying for basic human needs
