We Remember Those We Have Lost

Leonard Michael Jozulin

OCEAN PINES - Leonard Michael Jozulin, 81, of Ocean Pines and formerly of Baltimore, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010 at Berlin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Michael and Vera Jozulin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marie Jozulin (nee Beckmann) of Arbutus, in 1991.

He retired from the Baltimore Sun where he was the administrative manager in the advertising department.

Nellie Powell Jackson
NEWARK - Nellie Powell Jackson went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010.
She died at home on the small family farm she loved.

She was born April 21, 1923 in Newark to Edgar and Gertrude Powell. She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Jackson, Sr.•€¨She was a member of Calgary Baptist Tabernacle in Salisbury for many years where she taught children's Sunday school. She was a major influence in the lives of her family members, especially in spiritual matters. Her greatest desire was for all her family to know the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was preparing a nice meal for her family. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade cinnamon rolls, chicken and dumplings, pies and cakes.•€¨Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Norma Delano and her husband Mike of Salisbury; a son, Bob Jackson, Jr. and his wife Shirley of Snow Hill; grandchildren, Joanie Brittingham and her husband L.B., Paul Jackson and his wife Danielle, Carol Morris and her husband Danny, Andy Jackson and his fiancee Kristin, Christy Delano and Jenny Hearne and her husband Billy; great grandchildren, Emily Brittingham, Olivia Brittingham, Sarah Morris, Evan Morris, Samantha Urban, Zeb Jackson and Cole Hearne; sisters, Edna Bowden and Gladys Trader; brother, Frank Powell; and many nieces and nephews including her niece Jeanie who gave her loving care near the end of her life.

She was preceded in death by brother Burton Powell, and sisters Edith Bowden and Daisy Snyder.•€¨Services were held. Donations may be made to Calgary Baptist Tabernacle 337 Tilghman Rd., Salisbury, Md. 21804 or Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21804. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.•€¨
