Twisters Gymnastics Scores Big in Invitational

BERLIN- Twisters Gymnastics enjoyed a big day at the 6th Annual Beach Party Invitational it hosted recently at its facility in Berlin, winning the championship in two levels and finishing second in four others.

Twisters won the team championship in both Level 2 and Level 5, while finishing second in levels 3, 4, 6 and 7. The Twisters also collected several individual championships during the meet, which featured over 80 gymnasts from all over the region.

At Level 2, which is a fairly new competitive level for girls ages four and five, the Twisters team included Lily Johnson, Danielle Eisemann, Mia Cropper and Kloe Cropper. Johnson took first in several events including the uneven bars (4.8), beam (6.85), floor (6.4) and all-around (25.05. Eisemann took first in the vault with a 7.5.

The Level 5 championship team included Maggie Mitchell, Bo Bischoff, Olivia Beard, Davina Graybill, Sierra Eisemann, Skyler Mahoney, Alyssa Weldon, Alyvia Ciurca, Becky Maupin, Piper Collins, Jada Saunders and Jesse Lupiwok. Sierra Eisemann scored a 9.0 on the bars and a 9.05 on the floor, Beard scored 9.4 on the beam and 34.95 on the all-around, Connors scored 9.25 on the vault and 9.6 on the bars, Ciurca scored 9.5 on the beam, 9.575 on the floor and 37.6 on the all-around.

The second-place Level 3 team included Kayla Brady, Lexi Walker and Summer Brenner. The Level 4 second-place team included Akerah Winder, Cassandra Dolan, Nay’yarrah Winder, Alexa Eisemann, Amiyah Rounds, Aryan Peters, Erin Lambertson, Erin Hurley and Alexis Holloway. Individual winners included Dolan, beam (8.125); Akerah Winder, floor (8.65); Nay’yarrah Winder, vault (9.55), floor (9.25, and all-around (36.25); and Rounds, beam (8.8).

The second-place Level 6 team included Kayla Janek, Ivy Stearn, and Ashley Tyndall. Stearn swept the Level 6 competition, winning each event including the vault, the bars, the beam, the floor and the all-around. The Level 7 second-place team included Dana Kim, Sarena Michnick and Jennah Lupiwok. Individual champions included Kim (bars, beam, floor and all-around) and Michnick (bars).

Katherine Pavlos and Neva Richardson competed at Level 8. Richardson was the individual champion in several events including the bars, the beam, floor and all-around. Brooke Wessman competed for the first time at Level 9 where she earned first place in all events and was the all-around champion with a score of 30.55. Twisters Gymnastics is coached by Carmella Solito, Fran Fennell, Donna Miller and Shannon Tustin.
