Stephen Decatur High School’s Jr. Red Cross Club recently held a Spin Like a Hurricane fundraiser at West Ocean City Fitness. After raising sponsorship funds for local disaster relief, participants followed Bonnie Zemo, stationary bike facilitator, as she led them on a two-hour stationary bike and workout tour. Worcester Preparatory School student Carson Wigley was one of the seniors selected from the State of Maryland to receive a Comcast scholarship. The cable company this year awarded $106,000 in $1,000 scholarships to Maryland high school seniors for their leadership skills, academic achievement and commitment to community service.
