6/10/2011 | By The Dispatch Staff

In Celebration of Earth Day 2011, Grow Berlin Green (GBG) partnered with local students to produce original artwork to promote the benefits of recycling. All entries were displayed at The Globe's upstairs gallery and were judged by local artists who selected winners based on most creative use of recycled materials and overall quality of design & presentation. Pictured, back, are GBG Project Manager Debbi Colley and Assateague Coastal Trust Development Director Steve Farr. Front are Hannah Adkins, first place winner, 8th grade; Spencer Carbaugh, best overall winner; and Lily Belle Baker, first place winner, 5th grade.
