BERLIN- The Berlin Junior Dolphins of the Salvation Army Red Shield League improved to 2-1 this season with a resounding 32-13 win over the Salisbury Black Knights on Tuesday.

After the defense forced an early turnover, Berlin’s offense scored first on a 44-yard touchdown run by K.J. Purnell. After Salisbury turned it over on downs, Berlin put together a long drive culminating in a five-yard TD run by Kevin Land to extend the lead to 13-0. Salisbury returned the ensuing kickoff to cut the lead to 13-6, but Berlin responded with a 77-yard run by Barry Gaines no its next possession to take a 19-6 lead into halftime. In the second half, Berlin’s Noah Metzger had touchdown runs of 45 and 60 yards in the second half to extend the lead to 32-19.
