BERLIN- Worcester Prep’s girls’ varsity soccer team got back on the winning track this week, beating Eastern Shore Independence Athletic Conference (ESIAC) rival Salisbury School, 4-0, on the road on Tuesday to improve to 4-2.
The Mallards started the season in impressive fashion with three straight victories including a 7-2 win over Salisbury Christian, a 7-0 win over Salisbury School and a 7-0 win over Gunston. However, the Worcester girls lost their first game of the season last week with a 1-0 loss to St. Andrew’s on a goal with under a minute left in the contest, and followed that up with a 4-2 loss to Saints Peter and Paul last Friday.
The Mallards ended their brief two-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 4-0 win over Salisbury School, their second over the Dragons this season. Lillian DiNardo and Amanda Gabriel led the Worcester scoring attack with two goals each. Worcester faces Our Lady of Mount Carmel at home on Monday.
