BERLIN -- Dorothy Waddell, 89, passed away on Oct. 8, 2011.
Born on March 21, 1922, in Coal Township, Pa. to Frank and Rena Samuel, she was married to Colonel (Ret. USA) Edward Lee Waddell Jr., who preceded her in death on May 29, 1994.
Dorothy was a world traveler and enjoyed cruising, dancing, reading, watching tennis, her Himalayan cats and spending her summers at her beach home.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Thompson and husband Dave, and her step-daughter Joan Lee Waddell Rotramel and her husband Darrell. Dorothy is also survived by her two grandsons, John Trimmer and Ian Thompson; her step-grandchildren, Naomi Rotramel, Heather Rotramel Masciandaro and her husband Nicola, and Seth Rotramel and his wife Katie; and her nieces, Jocelyn Knittel and Mari Scalesse.
She will be interred with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va., on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at 9 a.m.. Please assemble at the Administration Building at 8:30 a.m.
