Seahawks’ Win Streak Hits Five Games

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity basketball team extended its win streak to five games this week after routing St. Michael’s, 61-21, on the road on Tuesday. Erin Florick scored 13 points and Abby Schorr added 12 in the rout of the Saints on Tuesday as the Seahawks won their fifth straight. Decatur Boys Halt Skid at Five

BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s boys’ varsity basketball team snapped a five-game losing streak this week, beating St. Michael’s, 71-53, on Tuesday. Something had to give for the Seahawks, who had lost five in a row heading into Tuesday’s home game against St. Michael’s. Decatur had last won back on January 19, a narrow 66-64 win over Mardela, although they were highly competitive during the streak. Turtle Lax Club Tryouts Slated

OCEAN CITY- The  Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department’s 24th annual St. Patrick’s Soccer Tournament returns next weekend with roughly 150 teams and hundreds of players from all over the mid-Atlantic region expected to converge on the resort for the four-weekend event. Coastal Lacrosse Registration Open

OCEAN CITY- Registration is ongoing for the Coastal Lacrosse Club’s 2012 spring season, but the teams are filling up quickly, according to club officials. The Coastal Lacrosse Club, founded in 2009, offers organized, instructional teams for both boys and girls ages five to 14. Registration for the 2012 season is still open, although the teams are rapidly filling up. BERLIN- Newly appointed Worcester Prep boys’ varsity soccer coach Terry Underkoffler comes with impressive credentials including coaching and evaluating young players for the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program.
