SALISBURY -- The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s Help Your Neighbor Fund will benefit from donations collected at the upcoming “The Stars From The Temptations, The Platters, The Coasters and The Drifters Salute” Concert.
Featuring Myles Savage, lead singer from The Platters, the concert begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury. General admission tickets are $20 and $40 and VIP tickets are $60 for seats located within the first five rows.
Straight from the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the singing sensations will entertain guests with such hits as “Only You”, “My Girl”, “The Great Pretender” and “Under the Boardwalk.”

Since its inception in 2008, the Help Your Neighbor Fund has provided $82,800 in emergency assistance to thousands of Lower Eastern Shore families and individuals to meet basic needs. The fund has provided assistance for utility bills, food and medical prescriptions to families and seniors in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties who need it most.
More than 45 grants have been awarded to small local nonprofit organizations, such as Helping Hands, Worcester G.O.L.D., and Christian Shelter with a proven capacity to assure financial assistance gets to the neediest families in the area.
