BERLIN- Decatur’s varsity cross country teams fared well at the latest Bayside Conference meet in Cambridge last week with several Seahawks finishing in the top of the standings.
On the girls’ side, Chloe Fauntleroy came in second in the field of 45 competitors, finishing in 25:32. Alexandra Tushup was fourth overall, finishing in 26:18, while Alex Saunders was fifth at 26:31 and Lauren Buckman was eighth at 27:39. Other Seahawks finishing in the top 25 included Jordan Klebe in 12th at 28:32 and Meya Chilengi at 22nd in 31:15.
On the boys’ side of the meet, Nick Molitor turned in Decatur’s best performance, finishing fourth overall at 21:00. Daniel Winters was 10th, finishing in 21:48 and Kevin Herbert was 12th at 22:05. Other top finishers for Decatur included John Niedfeldt at 18th, finishing in 22:37, Noah McAleer at 20th, finishing in 22:40, and Andrew Bradshaw at 24th, finishing in 23:22.
