BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity soccer team jumped out to an early 2-0 record to start the season, beating North Caroline, 5-0, on the road last Friday before returning home to top always-tough Easton, 5-3, on Tuesday.
Brittney Calandra, a transfer this year to Decatur from Snow Hill, led the Seahawks’ 5-3 win over Easton on Tuesday, scoring three goals to complete a hat trick. Jillian Petito and Rebecca Lederman each added single goals, and Liz Rougcher pitched in an assist. The Seahawks hit the road this afternoon for a game against Queen Anne’s before returning home again next Tuesday for a date with Kent Island.
