Brownie Troop 1206 Donate $500

9/23/2011 | By The Dispatch Staff

Brownie Troop 1206 recently donated $500, two-thirds of its 2011 cookie proceeds, to the Red Cross to be used

for Japan and Haiti relief. Madeleine  Kiesewetter first mentioned the idea to her mother and troop leader when they were watching some of the footage of the Japan disaster. The Troop leader was worried that a lot of the girls would be disappointed because the prior year, the troop used the money to travel to an indoor water park, which they all loved. It turns out all the troop members were on board. Above, troop members Madeleine Kiesewetter, Dori Krasner, Annilah Derrickson, Isabella Vazquez, Corinne Krasner, Amanda Meyers and Grace Brosch are pictured. Submitted Photos
