Berlin All-Stars Take Two Titles

7/11/2008 | By News Editor, Shawn J. Soper

BERLIN- The Berlin Little League pitching machine All-Stars have been tearing up the competition in recent weeks, bringing home first-place trophies in two consecutive tournaments on the road.

On June 21-22 at Willards, the Berlin All-Stars defeated top-seeded West Salisbury in back-to-back games to win the first-place trophy. After dropping an early contest in the tournament, the Berlin All-Stars ran off five straight wins to reach West Salisbury, which they defeated two times in a row to claim championship hardware.

The next weekend, the Berlin pitching machine All-Stars traveled to Laurel, Delaware to compete in another tournament and came back with the same results. The Berlin All-Stars beat the Tri-State Little League All-Stars in back-to-back games to clinch their second first-place finish in as many weeks. The Berlin All-Stars hope to continue their run of mid-season success in a pair of upcoming tournaments in Delmar and Fruitland.
