BERLIN- The Coastal Lacrosse Club is seeking players for its 2011 outdoor spring season, but with limited space for players, the team rosters are filling up quickly.
The Coastal Lacrosse Club, founded in 2009, is one of Worcester County’s only non-profit lacrosse organization serving young players throughout the area and across Delmarva. The club offers organized, instructional teams for both boys and girls. Young players ages 5-14 are invited to participate in the club’s upcoming third outdoor spring season.
In addition to playing a full schedule of Sunday games, the boys and girls often travel to play similar clubs throughout the region and will compete in the popular and extremely competitive DYLA Tournament at the end of the season. In order to maintain a low player to coach ratio, the club is limiting the number of players per team. Therefore, the teams will be formed solely on a first come, first served basis.
According to the club’s mission, the most important goal of teaching young players the game of lacrosse while having fun at the same time is achieved under the direction of a very dedicated and committed group of experienced coaches. The Coastal Lacrosse Club and its professional staff is looking forward to bringing the sport of lacrosse to a new crop of young players while continuing to develop its current players.
The goal is to teach young players the skills they need to be successful while emphasizing sportsmanship and, of course, having fun. For more information on how to register young players for participation in the fastest growing youth lacrosse program on the shore, visit the club’s website at www.coastallacrosseclub.com.
