BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's girls' varsity basketball team closed out its regular season this week and is preparing to start the post season as the 10th seed in the state class 3A-East region tournament.
Decatur beat Crisfield, 46-26, last Thursday and followed that up with a 46-35 win over Kent County on Saturday as Shaniece Hudson scored 17 points and Kylie Nottingham added 10. On Monday, Decatur lost to Mardela, 57-26, as Michelle Wangel scored 10 points. The Seahawks start the state regional tournament tonight as the 10th seed in the Class 3A-East region. They will face seventh-seeded Wilde Lake on the road in the opener.
