BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity basketball team inched closer to the .500 mark for the season with a pair of wins over Crisfield and Washington this week.
Last Thursday, the Seahawks routed the Crabbers, 63-24 behind 13 points from prolific scorer Abby Schorr. On Tuesday, the Decatur girls stayed on a mini-roll, beating Washington, 77-57. Schorr again led the Seahawks with 24 points, while Katie Purnell pitched in 18. Monique Wise was tough on the boards, grabbing 20 rebounds.
With the pair on wins, Decatur snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 9-10 on the season. The Seahawks wrap up the regular season with road games against St. Michael’s and Parkside next week.
