Decatur Golfers Fare Well at States
BERLIN- The Stephen Decatur varsity golfers who qualified individually for the state championship tournament at the University of Maryland this week acquitted themselves well with two reaching their respective finals matches on Wednesday.
Jake Miller, Nikki Rafer and Joe Iacona each qualified for the state tournament this week and two, Miller and Rafer, advance to the finals on Wednesday. Miller shot a 78 on Monday and a 79 on Wednesday to finish tied for 10th among the 70 male golfers in the tournament. Rafer shot a 90 on both Monday and Wednesday to finish in 20th place overall among the top female golfers in the state.
