BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's varsity wrestling team fell to familiar foe Reservoir, 34-32, in a close match in the semifinals of the state Class 3A-East regional dual meet and now prepare for the Bayside Championship meet tonight.
The Seahawks won eight of 14 matches against Reservoir in Prince George's County on Wednesday, but lost narrowly lost the match by just two points. Devin Bataille won his match at 130 pounds, Cobin Lohnas won at 135, Johnny Soghomonian won at 140, Josh Barger took the match at 160, Bryce Smith won at 171, Mike Meekins won at 189, Luke Bargar took care of business at 215 and Dylan Drew won at 285.
Decatur had little time to lament the close loss. The Seahawks travel to Cambridge this afternoon for the Bayside Championship meet.
