BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's girl's varsity soccer team collected a big win on the road this week, thrashing Worcester County rival Snow Hill, 9-1, on Monday to improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Seahawks got balanced scoring from up and down the roster on Monday and jumped all over the Eagles on their home pitch. Five different Decatur players scored goals in the blowout win. Lauren Cosgriff led the way with three goals, while Alyssa Hardesty added two.
Charlotte Deck and Julia Finecey each scored a goal and added an assist, while Bethany Howe also scored a single goal. The Seahawks' schedule heats up next week with a couple of tough Bayside Conference games including Bennett at home on Monday and Wicomico on the road next Thursday.
