BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's varsity baseball team improved the 3-0 this week after beating Cambridge-South Dorchester, 13-1, last Friday and following that up with a 17-5 pasting of Worcester County rival Snow Hill on Monday.
The two victories in four days came after the Seahawks pounded visiting Crisfield, 14-2, in the season opener last Tuesday. Against Cambridge-South Dorchester last Friday, Decatur's Troy Bennett pitched a no-hitter while striking out eight. Bennett helped his own cause at the plate, collecting two hits in the game, while Lucas Koenig got two hits and drove in three runs.
Against Snow Hill on the road on Monday, Koenig picked up the win on the mound while Bennett, Cody Bradford and James Rossi paced the offense with two hits each.
