Worcester Boys Drop Two This Week

2/18/2011 | By Shawn J. Soper, Sports Editor

BERLIN- After winning its first two games after coming back from a long winter break, Worcester Prep’s boys’ varsity basketball team dropped a pair of games this week including a 56-46 loss to Delmarva Christian at home on Monday.

The Mallards had off for nearly three week before beating Chincoteague, 65-34, on February 4. Worcester beat the Mallards again, 44-34, on the road last Wednesday and did not show any ill effects from the long layoff. However, the Mallards have since lost two straight.

Worcester fell to Salisbury Christian, 45-27, on the road last Friday and dropped another tough one to Delmarva Christian, 56-46, at home on Monday. The Mallards wrap up the regular season with a home game against Gunston on Monday before the ESIAC tournament gets underway next week.
