Ocean City Elementary School fourth grade students connect learning to the new fruits and vegetables program. Students at Ocean City Elementary are given a fruit or vegetable to try every Tuesday and Thursday. Fourth graders use this as an opportunity to create line plots and write poetry about the treats. Students wrote acrostic poems to describe some of the delicious fruits and veggies they have tried, like peppers, and strawberries. Every Tuesday and Thursday fourth graders create line plots using the number of fruits or veggies they receive. Above, Sarah Dwyer records her data on the line plot.
