OC Saloon To Host Country Acts

OCEAN CITY - A new face on the local entertainment scene is
hosting a country music blowout this weekend with well-known acts planned for
both Friday and Saturday evenings.

Johnny B's Cowboyz
Smokehouse and Saloon on 114^th Street bayside will be the place to be for country
music this weekend. On Friday, Jay D Henley & The Stone Broke Band will
appear. Henley, a proud of Mt. Airy,
Md. is an original song writer
who got the itch to perform after winning a local talent contest. The band
features country music but is also known to tap into rock and roll, bluegrass
and jazz.

On Saturday, country
rocker Richie Fields will return to his hometown for three one-hour sets
starting at 10 p.m. There is no cover.

The Baltimore-based
recording artist was raised in Salisbury and
moved to Ocean City
with his family at the age of 14, where he graduated from Stephen Decatur
High School. His current
single/video, 'Man Enough To Cry,' is dedicated to Roger Smith, a former
classmate who died tragically at the age of 24.

'He was my best friend,
and the victim of a drunk driver on Coastal
Highway,' Richie says. 'He did a lot in his short
time on this earth, but there are so many things that he didn't get to do. My
thoughts on that dichotomy inspired me to write this song.'

Famed Music Row Magazine
has called the song 'a solid winner,' and the track has already hit No. 1 on
the Roots Music True Country Chart. 'Man Enough To Cry' is generating airplay
on more than 200 stations across the country and is the title track from Fields'
debut CD.

Fields has toured
solidly since 2006, and this summer he opened for The Kentucky Headhunters and
The Lost Trailers. He is looking forward to performing for the hometown crowd
this weekend.

'I'll see everyone at Cowboyz,'
Richie said. 'And we're gonna raise the rafters.'
