United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore's Community Connection Program recently partnered with Camp Odyssey and volunteers from Best Buy's Women's Leadership Forum to complete a landscaping service project for Life Crisis Center, which provides a 24-hour crisis hotline, crisis intervention, shelter and counseling for victims of rape, sexual assault and domestic violence. The volunteers built a flowerbed, which will be used as therapeutic tool for victims of violence, spruced up a relaxation garden to allow residents to escape emotionally and repaired a playground for the safety and comfort of children residing at Life Crisis Center. Above, volunteers are pictured working on the landscaping.
