BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's boys' varsity soccer team continued its up and down ways this week, falling to Wicomico, 2-1, on Tuesday to fall back to .500 on the season at 3-3.
Continuing a season-long pattern of win one, lose one, the Seahawks got out to an early lead on a goal by Dominick Mann off a great feed by Ryan Davis to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Wicomico came out firing in the second half, quickly scoring the equalizer just minutes into the second half. The Indians took the lead for good about half way through the period to take to 2-1 win over the Seahawks.
Decatur's record now stands at 3-3 on the season. Last Friday, the Seahawks routed county rival Snow Hill, 7-1. Ricardo Espinoza scored two goals, while Davis, Jason Stitely, Kyle Hill, Dan Cericola and E.J. Gwin each added single tallies. The Seahawks next play on the road next Tuesday against Crisfield.
