BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's varsity swim teams continued their early season success last week with both the boys' and girls' teams sweeping their meets with Kent County.
After earning a split in the season opener against Easton with the girls beating the Warriors and the boys falling in a close meet, the Seahawks responded last week with a sweep over Kent County. The Decatur girls won 123-46 with several Seahawk swimmers winning individual events. Taylor Blazer won the 50-meter freestyle, Kelly Sullivan won the 100-meter freestyle and Catelyn Geiser won the 200-meter freestyle, while Ali McLoota also won the 100-meter breaststroke event.
The Decatur boys practically duplicated the effort, beating Easton, 112-45, behind several strong individual efforts. Austin Deppe won the 200-meter freestyle, Garrett Neville won the 50-meter free and Jake Blazer won the 100-meter butterfly.
