OCEAN PINES ' A local man was killed in an accident this week when his motorcycle apparently left the roadway in Ocean Pines and struck several mailboxes early Wednesday morning.
Around 1:36 a.m. on Wednesday, Ocean Pines Police responded to a reported single-vehicle accident on Ocean Parkway in the community. Pines Police investigated and determined a motorcycle, driven by Jeffrey Samuel Pickard, 59, of Ocean Pines, had left the roadway and struck several U.S. Postal Service mailboxes along the side of the road.
