The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore presented the Delmarva Boy Scouts with a check for $43,000 to help fund educational and leadership activities for boys ages 6-17 as well as a Scoutreach program for at-risk youth. The Boy Scouts have received $868,843 in funding from the United Way since 1983. My future support of the United Way will depend on how the Boy Scout leadership rule on the gay issue. If they allow gays into the organization, I will give my time and money to establish a new organization formy grand children.
