Worcester Preparatory School rising Junior Lydia Pritchard had the opportunity to spend a week in Washington, D.C. as a volunteer intern in Senator Richard Lugar’s Office (R-Indiana). Lugar and Pritchard’s older sister Elizabeth Bartlett, who works for the Senator, invited her to experience government at work. While in Washington, Pritchard sat in on the START treaty hearings, which focused on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
