BERLIN- Stephen Decatur's varsity field hockey team this week drew a number-eight seed in the Class 3A-South region tournament and will face top-seeded Great Mills of St. Mary's County in the opening round of the playoffs if the weather ever cooperates.
The Seahawks finished the regular season with a 4-7-1 record and earned the eighth seed in the Class 3A-South tournament. They were scheduled to take on top-seeded Great Mills first on Wednesday, but the match was rained out. It was rescheduled for yesterday, but it is uncertain if the match was played given the rainy weather again.
