BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s lone representative in the state Class 3A cross country state championship meet, junior Lauren Buckman, turned in a strong performance last week, finishing 31st among the top 150 competitors in the state.
Buckman finished 11th in the Class 3A-East regional meet two weeks ago to earn Decatur’s only berth in the state championship meet. Buckman turned in another strong performance last week in the state championship meet, crossing the finish line in 31st place among the 150 competitors from all over the state. Buckman finished the course in 22:00.05. For the record, Emily Mulhern of Urbana won the state 3A meet, finishing in 19:53.3.
