Mallards Continue Hot Streak

10/12/2007 | By News Editor, Shawn J. Soper

BERLIN- Worcester Prep's men's varsity soccer team beat Delmar, 6-2, on the road on Tuesday for its eighth straight win.

Worcester's season record now stands at 9-1, its only loss coming to Sussex Tech way back on September 7. Since then, the Mallards have won eight straight including a 3-0 win over Gunston last Friday and the 6-2 win over Delmar on Tuesday.

In the Delmar game on Tuesday, Chase Humphrey led the Mallards with four goals, while Evan Bauer and Hunter Marshall each pitched in single goals. In the 3-0 win over Gunston last Friday, Fausto DiCarlo, Martin Sanchez and Christian Payne each scored single goals.

Worcester will attempt to continue its hot streak this afternoon with a home game against Delmarva Christian. The Mallards will play St. Thomas More at home on Monday.
