OCEAN CITY- The Ocean City Recreation and Parks Department’s winter boys basketball league continued this week with a full slate of games at Northside Park. The following is a quick look at some of this week’s action:
(bullet) OC/Berlin Optimists 23- Trimper’s Rides 8: Thomas Dibuo had eight points, while Colton Edmunds contributed six and Billy Wheatley added four to lead the Optimists over Trimpers.
(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 23- Nantuckets 23: Trent Russo scored eight points and Corey Gwin added seven for the Boosters, while Jerred Johnson scored seven and Chase Hampstead added six for Nantuckets as the two teams played to a 23-23 tie.
(bullet) OC Elks 57- OC Rec Boosters 47: Jacob Seiders led the Elks with 15 points, while Kody Michael pitched in 11. The Boosters got big contributions from George Moore (14 points), Paul Mulrooney (13) and Bhorat Chatan (11) in the losing cause.
(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 15- Delmarva Irish 10: Jonathan Petito led the Boosters with seven points while Hayden Cosman pitched in six. Daisean Ellison led the Irish with five points, while Michael Barnes added four.
(bullet) Phillips Crabhouse 30- Nantuckets 13: Craig Snyder scored 10 points, Zachary Donahue scored six and Sean Colgan, John Lambrinos and T.J. Seafonz each scored four as Phillips rolled past Nantuckets. (bullet) OC Lions Club 31- Dr. William Allen 29: Tim Roberts led the Lions over Dr. Allen’s team with 12 points, while Joshua Kleinstuber added six. Zachary Mushrush led Dr. Allen’s team with eight points, while Aaron Moore scored seven and Jake Troublefield added six.
(bullet) OC Elks 50- OC Rec Boosters 32: Drew Eckman led the Elks with 12 points, while Sam Richter scored 11 and Ethan Kleinstuber and Cody Michael scored 10 apiece. Caleb Buchler and Randy Hartmeyer led the Boosters with eight points each, while Kevin Rowed added seven.
(bullet) OC FOP 36- Dr. William Allen 34: Javeonshae Farmer went off for 19 points to lead the FOP to victory. For Dr. Allen’s teams, Aaron Moore also had a big game with 18 points.
(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 14- PNC Bank 5: Jonathan Petito, Zachary Schultz and Eric Gwin each scored four points to lead the Boosters over PNC Bank.
(bullet) Embers Restaurant 17- Park Place Jewelers 16: Reginald Briddell led the Embers with nine points, while McLain Smith added six. For Park Place Jewelers, Lucas Collins, Dominic Klebe and Christopher Leitgeb each scored four points in the narrow one-point loss.
(bullet) OC Rec Boosters 25- Trimper’s Rides 24: Tate Shockley scored eight points and Darion McKenzie added seven to lead the Boosters over Trimper’s. Mark Smith scored a game-high 14 points for Trimper’s in the loss.
