SDHS Jr. Red Cross Club Holds Annual Vaccine Campaign

12/11/2009 | By The Dispatch Staff

Stephen Decatur High Schools Jr. Red Cross Club has kicked off its annual 1,000 Lights-1,000 Lives Measles Vaccine Campaign for the holidays. Each light on the Christmas Tree symbolizes a life that will be saved in an impoverished country with a simple Measles immunization. One dollar raised for each light on the tree will pay for a vaccination against a disease. Students will sell Measles pins for $1. If you are interested in purchasing a pin, call 443-880-7795.  Pictured are club coordinators Patti Miller, Alison Sappington, club advisor Ryan Cowder and students Emma Heim, Kristen Miller, Niki Carpenter, Jenna Kramer, Leslie Hurley, Troy Bennett, Rosa Navarra, Sidney Waters, Brandon Maddy and Brianna Carroll.
