Birdies on the Beach

The first annual 'Birdies on the Beach' charitable golf tournament benefiting the Best Buddies Maryland program, which was held on Monday at the Ocean City Golf Club, was hosted by Miss USA Rachel Smith, of Tennessee, and Miss USA delegates from eight other states including Miss Maryland Michae Holloman. The Miss USA girls caddied for some teams and served as hostesses for the event, which will likely become a staple in the resort in the future. Best Buddies Maryland is a chapter of the larger Best Buddies International, an organization that pairs intellectually disable students with their non-disabled classmates.
