Worcester County 2011 winners in the Daughters of the American Revolution Historic Essay Competition and the Christopher Columbus Competition were Worcester Preparatory School students, front from left, Halie Murray-Davis, Grades 9-12 Christopher Columbus winner; Mark Wilson, Grade 8 History Essay Winner; Regan Shanahan, Grade 7 Historic Essay Winner; Jordan Welch, Grade 6 Historic Essay Winner; and Colton Edmunds, Grade 5 Historic Essay Winner. Awarding the student medals and certificates were Pat Arata, Regent General Levin Winder Chapter DAR, and Lenore Huffer, Education Chairman, General Levin Winder Chapter DAR.
